The LOMS 7th Grade Buffalo Football team closed out an impressive season by claiming the District Championship, finishing with a record of 5–3 overall and 5–1 in district.
What makes this title even more special is how the season began. After an 0–3 start, this group refused to fold. Week by week, they steadily improved, finding their rhythm, their confidence, and ultimately their identity.
Their district run started with a tough loss to Chisum, but the Buffaloes responded the way good teams do — they regrouped and went to work. What followed was a five-game winning streak, including dominant performances over Prairiland, Quitman, and Grand Saline.
The final stretch tested their toughness. These Buffaloes held off a strong Harmony squad in a hard-fought 12–6 win, then sealed the district title outright with a 28–12 victory over a talented Edgewood team.
This team showed resilience, growth, and grit from start to finish.
The future is bright — and we’re proud of our 7th Grade Buffaloes!
