Lone Oak Cross Country Competes at Running with the Lions

The Lone Oak Buffaloes Cross Country team continued its season Thursday, August 20, competing at the Running with the Lions 4A and Under Division.

The Buffaloes had several strong individual performances, including two medalists. Addison Wilhite led the way for Lone Oak in the Varsity Girls Division, finishing 8th overall and earning a medal. Kellyn Walker also earned a medal, placing 13th in the JV Girls Division.

In the Varsity Boys Division, Jack Esckelson was Lone Oak's top finisher, continuing to lead the Buffaloes as they build toward the championship portion of the season.

The Lone Oak Cross Country team will be back in action this week at Wolfe City. The meet will also mark the first appearance of the season for the Lone Oak Junior High team, giving the program an opportunity to showcase its younger runners.

The Buffaloes will look to build on Thursday's performances and continue improving as the season moves forward. Congratulations to Addison, Kellyn, Jack, and all of the Lone Oak runners on a strong showing at Running with the Lions!
