The Lone Oak Varsity Cross Country teams traveled to Canton for the Running Eagles Invitational this past Thursday Morning. The Buffaloes showed up looking to compete at a difficult course and bettering their team times once again. Both the boys and girls teams not only competed well but also had 12 of the 15 runners mark their best times of the season. The fact that they ran their best times so far shows the hard work and dedication they have put into not only themselves but also the program.

On Monday's Labor Day Holiday in order to prepare for the meet we traveled to Wind Point Park to get some running as the team totaled over 60 miles between 12 runners. We will take to the course again on Thursday afternoon as we travel to Cumby Miller Grove for an afternoon meet that will include not only the Varsity teams but also the boys and girls JH teams.
