The Lone Oak Buffaloes continued their undefeated season with a thrilling 33-22 win over Big Sandy High School on Friday night. Lone Oak's balanced offensive attack and clutch defensive plays were key to securing the victory.

Offensive Highlights:
Quarterback Slayde Parnell led the Buffaloes with an efficient night, completing 11 of 23 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Parnell’s main target was Tre Hubbard, who put up a spectacular performance with five receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns, including an 11-yard score in the second quarter and a 38-yard bomb in the third quarter.

The rushing attack was equally impressive, led by Moi Perez, who had 10 carries for 58 yards and a 3-yard touchdown run to open the scoring in the first quarter. Aidan McCullum capped off the scoring with a 15-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory for the Buffaloes.

Daniel Barahona also contributed with a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, while Perez added to his all-around performance by going 3 for 3 on PAT attempts.

Defensive Stands:
Lone Oak’s defense had a strong showing, forcing three turnovers and limiting Big Sandy to 92 rushing yards. Morgan Cruces and Brice Forgy anchored the defense with thirteen tackles. Tre Hubbard, Christian Morris and Hayden Thomas each came away with an interception. Jackson Debord, a freshman, and Corbin Johnson, a senior, played key roles in the secondary, limiting Big Sandy’s big-play opportunities in the passing game.

Big Sandy's offense, despite a few long plays, struggled to consistently move the ball. Lone Oak’s defense stepped up in key moments, particularly on third and fourth downs, where they held Big Sandy to 1-of-9 on third down conversions and 1-of-2 on fourth down attempts.

Special Teams Contributions:
Moises Perez was also a standout on special teams, with two kickoff returns for 58 yards, including a 35-yard return that set up a scoring drive. Wyatt Marker added a key 38-yard punt return, and Tre Hubbard also contributed a 22-yard kickoff return.
