The Lone Oak Buffaloes had a strong showing at the Avon Rice Relays last Thursday in Emory, with both the boys and girls varsity track teams bringing home top finishes.

Boys Varsity Highlights:
The Buffaloes finished 3rd overall in a competitive field, earning multiple podium finishes across sprints, relays, and field events. Deon Douglas took 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m, while Tre Hubbard placed 2nd in Triple Jump with a leap of 40’-10.5”. The 4x200m relay team secured a 2nd place finish, and Wyatt Marker earned 3rd in High Jump (6’-0”).

Lady Buffs Highlights:
The Varsity Girls track team had an impressive 2nd place team finish with Haven Scott dominating the 100m and 200m races, securing 1st place in both. Emma Payne also clinched 1st in the 100m hurdles, while Addison Wilhite took 2nd in the 1600m and 3200m runs. In field events, Scott also claimed 1st in Long Jump (15’4”), and Dylan Saunders placed 3rd in Triple Jump (30’6.25”).
