Lone Oak’s offense was unstoppable, racking up 24 first downs while methodically moving the ball down the field. Quarterback Slayde Parnell led the charge, completing 15 of 25 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns. His pinpoint passing allowed wide receiver Tre Hubbard to shine, catching four passes for 80 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown in the third quarter that put the game out of reach.
Wide receiver Nick Counts got the scoring started in the second quarter with an 11-yard touchdown grab, followed by Daniel Barahona’s 24-yard catch-and-run touchdown that gave the Buffaloes a commanding lead. Running back Moi Perez also made his presence felt with a 1-yard touchdown run, showing his ability to find the end zone on the ground and adding two successful PATs.
In the run game, Perez was a force, carrying the ball 15 times for 76 yards. Aidan McCullum provided support with 11 carries for 48 yards, helping Lone Oak control the tempo and maintain long drives.
Defensive Dominance
The Buffaloes’ defense was unyielding, pitching a shutout while limiting Winona to just 122 total yards. Lone Oak forced two turnovers, with freshman Jackson Debord and senior Corbin Johnson both grabbing key interceptions. The defense kept the pressure on Winona’s quarterback, racking up three sacks and six tackles for loss, while holding the Wildcats to only seven first downs.
Lone Oak's aggressive defense also saw standout performances from Brice Forgy, who recovered two fumbles and recorded a sack, and Moises Perez, who led the team with seven tackles, including two tackles for loss.
